If You Are Fire, Then Your Beloved Must Be Water

*

*

*

You think your beloved is a long hidden-treasure but often you are not content with their flaws

You think one who is flawed is cursed by the darkness and is not blessed by the light

And this creates a dark well of misery that engulfs your days and tampers your nights

*

*

Your beloved is not a perfect emulation to your body, but they are a true mirror of your soul.

They are not the person who leads you into the light, but someone who takes you out from the darkness.

Accept your beloved for who they are, not for what you want them to be,

For their perfection lies in your willingness to accept their imperfection.

*

*

You and your beloved belong to the Soul of Truth, but you were created from different substance.

If you are fire, then your beloved must be water.

Water cannot be fire, neither can fire be water.

Be content when you are water but never boast when you are fire.

It is water that pacifies the rage of fire, but it is fire that flames the stillness of water.

*

*

Look in the eyes of your beloved so you can open the window to their soul,

Embrace the Wind of the South tenderly and listen to its wondrous whispers,

Let the hands of love chain your hearts but do not become the slaves of fate.

*

*

And when the golden falcons build a shimmering tower to the sky,

Love will tell you it is time to build another bridge for your hearts.

  2. Fire is a source of energy, and so is water. They are completely distinctive from one another, but they are inseparable when Love binds them. And when they are inseparable, they create great powers that make the sun dance and the mountains leap in joy. Namaste.

  3. Beautiful and makes sense. Seems that either one in a couple is hot-headed or peacemaker. :-)
Thank you also for visiting my blog and liking my poetry ‘Toddler’s Life’. :-)

  4. Stunningly penned, Subhan! Submitting to unconditional Love is all that’s needed to merge with the Light of the Beloved. Water and Fire — and a little clay we all are.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with the world. Bless you.

  5. Dear Subhan,
How honest your words can be. You pose good questions and arguments.
I also hope that you are having a great 2013.

    • Hi Lauren, thank you so much for your kind words. You are one generous soul. I am not sure whether I have told you this, but since January 2013, I only post once a week, every Thursday. There’s one coming in tomorrow. I hope this is fine with you :-)

  7. I see you are a deep thinker who understand the ways of the soul.. We must remember that both Light and Dark play their parts, for without each we would not experience the other..
    Blessings

Hahaha :) My family is originally from Russia, Siberia. I, on my part have gone quite international :)) I lived and studies in Europe a lot, so probably picked some English therefrom ;)

  10. I liked your blog.
I think that both the physical beauty and the talent for something can be considered a gift, and they have the power to draw the attention and admiration of those who surround us but for different reasons.
Both provide a certain degree of power, and it is clear that although refuses, it is obvious that physical beauty opens doors.

Thanks friend for visiting my blog and for your words.

    A hug Sbhan.

    • Thank you very much for imparting your wisdom, Karmel. Your words are reflection of your true soul.

I hope my other blog posts do not disappoint. Thank you again, many blessings and much love to you. :-)

  18. I think I’m doing OK after more than thirty years to the same fella. :)
We are opposites in many ways, but we compliment each other – so I’d like to think.

We may not always agree, but we are there for support, humor and love. When you accept a partnership of any kind you must be prepared to work at it. And the work does not have to be ‘hard’, just consistent and full of caring.

Keep cool in your summer. And I shall try to keep warm in my winter.
Blessings to you and yours. Cheers, Jules

    • Hi Jules,

Thank you, yes, it has been a cool summer, thanks to you! Thank you for commenting and dropping by, your words are the light to the soul of my soul. Many blessings and much love to you. :-)

      Subhan Zein

Thank you very much for your kind comment. Coming from you, it is a great honor, it feels like winning the Booker Prize. :-)

Thank you again, many blessings and much love to you.

      Subhan Zein
#PS: I sent you an email a couple days a go, and I hope that you have received it, but please let me know if you have not. Thank you.

    • Hi Sandra,

Thank you very much for your lovely comment. You are one generous and wonderful soul.

Many blessings and much love to you.

      Subhan Zein
#PS: I am going to send you and email, and I am hoping you’d be able to get it soon. Merci! :-)

  19. Beautiful thoughts Subhan. Who are we to judge somebody – their perfections or imperfections? Yes accept others as you accept yourself.

Thanks my friend and many good wishes. Cheers :)

P.S. I acknowlege receipt of your email.

    • Hi Dilip, thank you for visiting and for commenting. Yes, you are right, totally. And thank you again, for letting me know that you have received the email. I hope there is no more problem with the posts reaching to your inbox now. Thank you again, Dilip, many blessings and much love to you. :-)

      Subhan Zein

  20. Its beautifully written Subhan :)
Here are few lines from one of my post which I would like to share :
“Relationships are alike two rails of a train. Which covers their journey together no matter its summer or winter. If one is missing, the train of relationship can never move forward”

    • Hi Pragati,

Thank you very much for your wonderful comment. You are one generous soul. Yes, I would agree with what you said. May I quote it in my Facebook Page? I would say that a lot of people may need to hear the beauty of your words.

      Subhan Zein

    • Thank you, Pragati. I posted it on my FB Page, after a tiny editorial bit which doesn’t change the meaning, I hope you do not mind. You can see it there now. Thank you again, many blessings and much love to you. :-)

      Subhan Zein

  21. This is the key to happiness in two lines:
Accept your beloved for who they are, not for what you want them to be,
For their perfection lies in your willingness to accept their imperfection.
    Beautiful. :)

    • Many thanks for your kind words, Stuart. You are one generous and wonderful soul. May happiness always reside in the realm of your heart. Many blessings and much love to you. :-)

      Subhan Zein

    • HI Madhu,

Thank you very much for your kind words. I am humbly thankful. Many blessings and much love to you. :-)

      Subhan Zein
#PS: Did you receive the message I sent you?

    • Yes, I did. It says, ‘greetings from Subhan Zein’. Did you get it?

      Subhan Zein
#PS: Do you have a magic door or something? Maybe something like Superman stamina? On Sunday you were in Takayama, Japan, and then now you have already posted something about Pont du Gard in France. Magic! :-)

    • Hi Nifti, thank you for visiting and for commenting. Your words have become the light to the darkness of my heart and I am very much grateful. Many blessings and much love to you, Nifti. :-)

      Subhan Zein

  22. Subhanm, The title of your post intrigued me; after all, I read, “…If you are FINE, then your beloved must be water…” Do I hear something like, “A woman without a man, is like a fish without a bicycle…?”

But then I read the title more closely and immediately I knew I needed to read on. What a powerful message about us and our beloved!

  23. Very wise understanding. Unfortunately far too many people have the relationship based on what they can get from it(not judgmental here, it is natural) instead of what they can bring to it.

Thank you. An angel smiles every time you leave a comment ♥
