Dance, dance under the rain!

 *

*

I stop the music and place my headset on my desk,

Putting an end to the rhythmical but fabricated melody

I look out the window and gaze at the surrounding

The sky has poured its perfect blessing

Yes, rain, rain, rain!

*

Oh, the sound it lashes out is so rhythmical,

And the energy it unleashes is so powerful

*

The rain’s beauty lies in its non-fabricated melody

As it is composed by Mother Nature with pure honesty

*

So I take off my shoes and run out

Closing my eyes, I feel myself is roiling in excitement

When the rain touches my skin

And caresses my soul

*

Suddenly I start swaying in gaiety

I dance under the rain

*

Come, my friends, join me!

Dancing under the rain is a delicate beauty!

    • Thank you Bailey Mikell. My mission is to serve humanity through the written word, and my blog is the avenue where it all starts.

If you are inclined to reading inspirational, soul-uplifting poems like this one and also short stories with similar tone, I would like to kindly invite you to take a virtual tour in my blog and find any posts that might be of interest to you.

It is my hope that some of my posts find a place in your heart and are of any use to you, as they are to others.

I will also visit your blog and am looking forward to reading your posts. Thank you again for your interest, many blessings and much love to you. :-)

    • Hi Sandra, thank you very much for that. You are one generous soul. :-) The Facebook share button well as Tumblr, LinkedIn, Twitter and others are located above the Like button, below the post. :-)

      • Unfortunately on my screen there is only one Facebook Like button and as I have Liked the post, it is greyed out and there is no other Facebook button. Sorry.

    • Hmmm… The Facebook Page Like is different from the Facebook Share. The FB page like is on the top right of my sidebar, but the share is not there. Can you see the Share This section above the WordPress Like button? It is located under the post, the one that says Sharing is Caring. In there you can see the share social media plugins: Twitter (5), and Facebook (22), which means the post has been Tweeted 5 times and Liked 22 times on Facebook. So if you click on the Facebook logo then it should share automatically on your Facebook account. And when someone likes the post from your share, the number that’s displayed on my page will enlarge: 23, or 24, depending on the number of people who like it. Hope this helps. :-)

  3. Very nice poem, Subhan Zein! The most beautiful and romantic dance is in the rain! I love it!
Thank you for sharing this poem so beautiful and full of wisdom!
Be blessed, Subhan Zein, with much happiness!
    Have a wonderful Sunday!
    With respect and friendship,
    Stefania! :)

    • It hasn’t been raining in the past couple of weeks down here in Canberra, and the summer is excruciating. I will definitely have some dose of dance when the rain eventually comes. :-) Thank you for your kind comment, John. You are one wonderful soul. Many blessings and much love to you…

  4. Aloha, Subhan! This is my most favorite among your masterpieces. It’s just so stunningly beautiful. And it absolutely reflect the beautiful person in you! Happy New Year, my friend! Take care always! = )

    • Hi Aina,

Happy New Year! It is so great to see you again. :-) Is this your new blog or something? I need to check it out then.. Aina, if you like, you may want to subscribe to my blog through emails so you do not miss them. Current WP subscription only allows new posts to be displayed in the Reader section in your dashboard. I don’t post much, only 1-2 posts/week, so I hope they won’t inundate your inbox. Let me know if you are interested and I could send you a brief instruction on that, thank you again, Aina, many blessings and much love to you. :-)

      Subhan Zein

      • Yeah, this is my new baby, actually. = ) Well, my plan is just to write at least once a month now. Email me the instructions. I wouldn’t mind subscribing through email. = )

  5. Gorgeous! When I was a kid living in Florida, I loved when it started to storm when we were swimming and the feel of the rain hitting the water. Of course, we couldn’t stay in the water long because of the lightning safety issues, but it was a beautiful experience. :-)

    • oh, wow. thank you for sharing the enjoyable memory of your childhood, Christi. The next time it’s raining, I hope you get to emulate the exuberance of your past in your adulthood, or perhaps with more vigor? :-)

      Subhan Zein

  6. Hi Subhan,
Its been a while I’ve not come around here. How’ve you been and the new year so far?
This is one of my best posts from you. :-)

    -Asha

    • I am doing well, am still working on the book project I was telling you about, and I don’t think it’d be completed until the end of the year if I want to write a brilliant book. Thank you, Asha, for stopping by and for your kind words, you are one wonderful soul. I hope your reading is going well, Asha. Perhaps we could do some online book discussion sometime later? Take care and many blessings and much love to you. :-)

  7. I’m happy to reconnect with you this year and send you peace and blessings and {{{HUGS}}} too.

  8. Absolutely beautiful. You cause nature to take on music as symphony. Wonderful! Tonight here I listen to the high winds buffeting against my house. Yet another type of music but more in the drum section. Take care Subhan!

  9. Aww! Such a sweet sweet poem. It was really beautiful. The rhyming was amazing – my favorite part of the poem. It had a good flow, and the vocab usage was really good. The emotion is portrayed brilliantly. An excellent job! Keep it up!

    • Oh wow, you’re such a sweet girl, Nizy! :-) Thank you very much for your kind comment. I’m gonna ask a poetry expert soon, so I hope he’s gonna say the same thing. If not, I may consider stop blogging. LOL :-) Sorry, just kidding, hehe.

    • Hi Kourtney, Hehe, It hasn’t been raining here in Canberra in the past two months. And it is very dry, so the summer is excruciating. We need rain! Hehe :-)
Then I would have another dance when it’s raining. Has it been raining in your city yet?

      Subhan Zein

  10. Hi and Happy New Year, all the best for 2013.
Beautiful prose, yes the rhythms of Mother Nature are the best beats, the best sounds and if you listen to them with the ears of your heart, you will dance.
    Ciao,
    Patricia

    • Thank you, Patricia. You are one generous soul. Many blessings and much love to you. If you like, you may want to consider subscribing through email so you do not miss my posts. 11. Your poems are so beautiful. I wish for the rain. Now the ground is white with snow. Soon we are expecting some rain, unusual for now but preferred to the cold and the snow. The sound of snow is actually quite Zen but I do love the sound of rain on the roof just over the room where I sleep. Thank you for resubscribing. It is always good to read your poetry. It is so amazing. jk

    • ah, wow, such a nice compliment. Thank you very much for that. You are one generous soul. :-)

    • Oh, wow, I am enthralled to read your comment. And thank you for sharing the poem as well. You are one generous soul. :-)

I was kinda thinking of submitting this to the Guardian. After all, I have never submitted a poem to a prominent newspaper or magazine- so this could be a useful intellectual exercise. Question is, do you think it is going to qualify?

      Subhan Zein

      • HI Subhan,

Def do it! Just go for it:)
I think that the Guardian is a good place for the poem:)
and as you know we are all amazing creative people and believing in what we make and do will make things happen sooner or later :)
        Lizzie x

      • Oh, wow! You make me more excited than when I did the dance under the rain, LOL. Hahaha. I am going to ask my mentor first before submitting to find out his opinion, because he’s got much stronger literary background and knowledge than I, so it’d be useful to know what he thinks. Thank you very much for your encouragement, Lizzie, may it be immensely rewarded. :-)

  12. beautiful words, let’s dance in the rain, could you see the rainbow calling our souls to happiness and love ! wonderful year 2013 ! many blessings to you !

  13. Hi Subhan, happy new year and thank you for these beautiful words. It was too cold to go out and dance in the rain here, but It has finally stopped raining so I walked out in the garden now and the peace and calm reached down and touched me like a cool hand; a perfect moment, like a slow dance with the night.

    • Hi Katy, thank you for your beautiful words. Wait until the winter is over, and you’d definitely enjoy some dose of dancing under the rain, take care and many blessings and much love to you :-)

    • Thank you, Adinparadise. I hope your holiday breaks have been wonderful. I haven’t had a chance to visit your blog and that of others, but will definitely set more regular time to do it now, and I cannot wait to catch up. Thank you, many blessings and much love to you. :-)

Those were the days..and I miss being that little girl…

  18. This so wonderfully captures a love for rain and Nature, and it reflects my own fondness for rain as well, so I’m happy to strongly relate to the joy here. And it reminds me it’s been some time I had a nice walk in the rain, I should grab one the next chance I get.

  20. thanks for stopping by my blog Subhan! I love the reminder in this poem that rain is delicate. I always heard it that way as a little girl – not always now as an adult because I am now the one driving the van and handing over the car keys to my sons!

    • Hi Katherine,

  23. Dancing in the rain is so much fun. Since I was a child I am the one who usually heads outside when the rain comes instead of running inside. However, the rain has to be a warm one.

    • Yes, you are right, Brenda! :-) Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope your visits have been and will always be a joyful ride! Lovely day to you! :-)

  26. Lovely! The picture reminds me of my daughter dancing in the rain. :) “The rain’s beauty lies in its non-fabricated melody.” I love that! This fits nicely with a blog post I’m working on right now so the timing was great to find this one now. (It will be called Sound and Silence – if I ever get it done!) I really enjoyed your poem.

    • Oh, I’m so glad that you liked it! :-) Is it raining up there?
It was raining for the whole week last week, so it is a serendipity that I could come up with the poem.. :-)
